Hello and Happy New Year, BBCFam!

While 2024 had its high points, it was a bumpy year for ESO, especially for trading guilds.

That gigantic correction to the game’s economy caught everyone off guard and had us scrambling to adjust to the new reality. For various reasons, we lost a lot of veteran members of the guilds when they decided to take a break or leave ESO entirely.

We also saw some top tier trading guilds downgrade, leave trading, or disband entirely.

When it comes to our two guilds, while the year gave me plenty of heartburn, I’m really proud and thankful to say that our membership steered us through 2024 unscathed and we finished the year as strong as ever!

Two top-tier trading guilds, 10 years and counting thanks to YOU. <3

As we enter our 11th year in ESO (and our 17th year as a gaming guild), I just wanted to say thank you to every Officer and Member that makes BBC The Best Damn Guild in Tamriel!

Now let’s take a look at our 2024 Year in Review plus some closing thoughts on what’s coming in 2025:

If this were broken into the first and second half of the year, the numbers would be wildly different. One huge upside of the reset to the economy is that bids have come down dramatically, in step with deflation. Bids are still roughly the same percentage of sales that they always have been which means covering each weekly bid is as much work as its ever been!

Sales tax covers just 17.7% of the bid
Sales tax covers just 17.7% of the bid
Sales tax covers just 17.7% of the bid!
This is the most important slide in the recap
. Without fundraising, without your generosity, we simply would not have these two top-tier trading guilds. It takes a team effort, every single week to build a track record like ours.

Note: Blackbriar majorly upgraded kiosk location in April, which is a big chunk of the difference in sales. Since then, both guilds are on equally lucrative spots with Blackbriar steadily catching up.

While it’s impossible to know without numbers on every kiosk, intel & experience tells me that Bleakrock is routinely Top 5 and even #1 in sales on the server some weeks. That’s especially impressive since we’ve never had sales minimums and never really put a huge focus on big sales numbers. Our mission has always been to be a reliable, fun trading guild that bids wherever our guildies are willing to support. 🙂

Mind. Blowing. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I’m really grateful to see the incredible participation we get with raffles. Every ticket you buy helps fund the kiosk bid & the killer prizes and for absolutely nothing else.

We LOVE giving cool shit away! Our aim with every prize is that it’s something you’ll love, or something you can sell on the kiosk easily so you can buy something you love.

Fun Fact: Other than gold prizes (and sometimes even them), almost all prizes are donated to the guild by Officers & Members.

RAFFLE/AUCTION MVP‘s: BLEAKROCK
Since raffles

If you got whiplash from the rollercoaster that was ESO last year, 2025 seems to be saying “hold my beer”.

We’re about to see the biggest changes to the game since One Tamriel from content to QoL to monetization and more. Time will tell if it’s they choose the right path, but the game has been in need of a jolt for a while. Fingers crossed!

Regardless of what happens with the game this year, I know one thing:
The BBC Guilds will continue to thrive in 2025 thanks to you. ❤️
